VIENNA, Austria – May 18^th, 2009 – This April Michael and Heike showed up at our location and explained us their project “SolarWave”. Cruising around the world with renewable energy out of solar panels and wind generators. Outstanding! As world leader of safety and survival equipment we decided to support this project. These two pioneers shall have all protection available. The Vienna based ACR Electronics Europe GmbH will join this renewable energy project as safety equipment supplier.

Michael hopes they will be the first worldwide doing and finishing such a trip. To increase their safety especially with regard to the big container and tanker ships cruising on international voyages ACR will support this project with an Automatic Identification System. With the Nauticast-B AIS-300, Michael and Heike will always see these vessels and they will be seen by them because they are transmitting the same kind of signal as the “big ship” do. Even in the event of a life and death situation, Michael will have support from ACR. An ACR Satellite2 406 EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) that transmits signals on internationally recognized distress frequencies will be the companion.
